We had so much fun putting this one together. Our Boo in the Boonies was a big hit with the toddler crowd and the parents too! There were so many treats to pick from - pumpkin cake with salted caramel buttercream, sugar cookies, cupcakes, Nutella s'mores, apples with caramel dip, pumpkin merengues, popcorn ghosts, and lots and lots of candy! And to keep the little ones busy burning off all of that sugar, we had a pumpkin craft for them to make and they got to take home their very own decorated mini pumpkins. They also got to dance around surrounded by bubbles from the bubble machine.
We used the printables from our shop for our own party. It's not so scary for the little ones. The whole design centers around the Jack'O'Lantern and the bright colors from the printables.
We wanted to keep everything simple, modern and colorful. Not too dark or imposing since it was a toddler party.
The printables are from our Etsy shop Squared Party Printables at squaredpartyprintables.com. The custom sugar cookies were designed by Casey's Confections at caseysconfections.com. And the custom fondant toppers were designed by Edible Details at edibledetails.com. I baked and decorated my own pumpkin cake using this fabulous recipe by Made by Melissa at madeinmelskitchen.com. We made our own CANDY centerpiece sign using pedestal frames from Ikea.
My favorite item from this party was the custom sugar cookies. They were a perfect match to the printables that I designed and they looked so good, nobody wanted to touch them. It took some convincing the guests to get them to start eating the cookies.
As you can imagine our house was completely trashed after having 12 toddlers over loaded up on sugar. It was worth every moment of cleanup to see them having so much fun. Looking forward to planning next year's Halloween party.
