Grey and White Neutral Nursery

Description

A gender-neutral, grey and white nursery

Design Inspiration

I wanted to create a gender neutral nursery, since we weren't finding out the sex of the baby beforehand. I love the color grey and wanted the room to be soft and serene. Once we found the chevron fabric, we decided to use the turquiose as an accent color. My mom and I had so much fun designing the room together, and we were thrilled with the end result.

Decorating Style

I love modern traditional design. I like things to be classic, but love using trends and modern design with accessories and fabrics.

Favorite Items

I absolutely love the wall color! I also think the window treatments turned out great and add a lot to the room.

Advice

When using soft colors, play with different textures and fabrics to add dimension. Ready made drapes can be made to look custom by adding fabric trim. Feel free to email me with any questions, as I do not check the comments all the time. taylor.minicucci@gmail.com

What color paint did you use to do the walls? I’m working on my nursery for my first little one now, and grey is such a hard color to get right.

The crib skirt was custom. I used an off white linen that had a good weight. If you want the souce, feel free to email me and I will get it for you. But really any linen would work. I added an aqua linen for the trim.

No need to get a dresser and a changing table in my opinion. You can safely secure a changing pad to any dresser and make it a great changing station. For clothes, I did some hanging and some folded in the dresser or soft storage bins. Only keep the clothes and items your baby is currently using accessible. Bigger sized clothing/toys your newborn won’t need immediately can be stored in other places in your house. Hope this helps. Feel free to email me if you have any other questions

Gorgeous room! Totally using this as inspiration for my nursery!!! I love your style! Thank you for sharing.

I’m a new mom, due in May and I’m trying to figure out what are nursery necessities. After looking at your room you make it look easy and not so overwhelming. I keep reading about Needing a dresser, a separate changing table, a bureau, etc etc. but it looks like you just have the chest… Is that all you use in your nursery for clothes, and a changing table. Any advice on what you really only need would be so helpful! Thank you!!!!

Unfortunately I painted this piece a few years ago for another room and lost the paint :( I can tell you that is Benjamin Moore and I found it using the classic sample cards. I hope that helps!

Thank you! The ottoman is from Z Gallerie, but I do not see it online anymore. I searched for “poufs” on pinterest and found it I believe.

  25. avatar TaylorMini says:

The sheep mobile is from Potter Barn Kids. I believe it was in-store only so sadly I can’t find a link to it online. I also purchased in March so there is a chance they don’t carry it anymore :(
