Description
i wanted to plan a baby shower that incorporated our little guy's nursery colors, gray and green. i'll also be using chevron stripe and a few modern elephant images in his room that we used throughout the shower. i couldn't resist the cuteness of using mustaches and bow ties as a final touch!
Design Inspiration
a pre-cursor to his nursery! i did not want the typical blue color and bottle/rattle design you see at most boy showers.
Decorating Style
clean lines, modern, i also looooove gray so usually a muted gray with a bright color is my style.

Favorite Items
the invitation! it really went with the decor of the nursery and set the theme for the whole shower.
my favorite thing about the shower was that i kept my guests busy crafting an ABC book, decorating onesies, writing silly messages on diapers, and filling out a predictions guest book all while i opened up presents.
Advice
my mom and sisters sensed that i had a real vision for my shower so they let me take it over as far as decor and crafts. if you have a strong opinion about the way you want your shower to look, ask your host if you can take over a few personalized projects, i'm sure they'll be happy you've lightened the load. in the end, you'll be a happy mama knowing everything was the way you envisioned it to be.

make a list of each letter of the alphabet so each guest can cross out which letter they choose. then, from a small scrapbook filled with blank pages the guests write the letter they choose big on the page and decorate around it.
i chose the first letter, A. i wrote a large A in the middle of the page and wrote "a is for atlanta, where you were born" with a drawing of a peach next to it.
i told the guests no stereotypical choices (b is for bat, c is for cat, etc.)
hope this helps!

I am curious about the crafty ABC book. What are the rules?
