Description
This nursery was designed for a world-traveling couple with modern style. The design is fairly minimal and serene since all of the furniture and three of the four walls are white. The dominating pieces in the room are the custom window treatments and globe trotting wallpaper.
Design Inspiration
The inspiration for the design came from the wallpaper. I featured it on a post on my blog Nursery Notations and my client loved it!
Decorating Style
The style of this room is modern with feminine and whimsical touches. Since this is the family's second girl they are used to the color pink and embrace it.

Favorite Items
My two favorite items in the room is the wallpapered wall behind the crib and the custom moroccan-inspired fabric on the window treatments. The beaded trim adds just the right amount of playfulness to carry the design of the room into the girl's big girl room next. We loved the wallpaper so much that we decided to paper the back of the bookcase too, just so that we could get a hint of it in somewhere else!
Advice
If you can splurge on window treatments - DO THEM! The always make the biggest difference in a room. And have some fun with the pattern or style too.
Love this room!!
I love it. It would be perfect for incoming angels. Starfall
Hi there, does anyone know what the name of the company that made those window coverings is? I live in southern California and can drive to Hermosa Beach if needed. Thanks
Would love to know the source for the window fabric!
That baby portrait is so adorable! And the wallpaper is just gorgeous!
