Georgia’s Pink, Blue and Gold Nursery

Description

I love the contrast of the colors pink and blue. I wanted something a little non traditional when you think of a girl's nursery. Playing with paint colors and pops of colors  I decided on blue, pink and gold. We painted the walls Thundering Clouds by Valspar. From there, I went off a piece of artwork that was created by Shenasi Concept on Etsy. I fell in love with her ballerina artworks and decided this would be the focal/theme. I kept the furniture simple white by Pottery Barn Kids - Kendall Crib, Changing table and Glider.

Design Inspiration

The inspiration came from the ballerina artwork designed by Shenasi Concept on Etsy. I love the play with the soft tulle incorporated on the soft pink painted canvas. I knew that this art piece would pop on the blue paint color. Having a blue wall can definitely work for a girl's room. Then I came across the perfect bedding that incorporated pinks and golds from Caden Lane.

Decorating Style

I really like keeping things light and airy with pops of colors to bring in a bit of glam.

Advice

Don't be afraid of mixing blues and pinks together, it will really surprise you how well it works together. I also went for pieces that could work beyond the nursery where I could incorporate in other rooms or later in my daughter's room.
