For Baby Girl

Description

Nursery for baby girl that isn't "girly"

Design Inspiration

I wanted a calm room I would enjoy just as much as my daughter.  I started with the wall color - it changes from cool gray blue to a warm purple depending on the light.

Decorating Style

We like contemporary designs with an emphasis on lived in comfort.

Project Details

The paint color was the main focus for me - it's Sherwin Williams Daydream.  Next was the graphic wall decals - from etsy.  The rug was a surprise find off of gilt that just brings the whole room together!

DwellStudio crib from Target.  Sheet Land of Nod, bedskirt sewn by me.  3D wall flowers from UrbanOutfitters - Umbra.

Favorite Items

Walls, and probably the glider I reupholstered.

Advice

Buy some paint samples and paint a few swatches on the wall.  The original color I thought would work ended up being way too light.

Thanks avalon – lamp is from Potterybarn Teen.   I liked their selection better than what was in the Baby/Kids line.

Your lamp looks interesting. I really love that corner with the day bed, the colored pillows, and the frames. And, yeah, that white clock is absolutely drool-worthy!

Thanks for all the sweet comments!  My husband found the clock – it’s Koziol Pip Clock.  There’s a few on amazon, but he ordered it from the main company to get white – all the way from the UK!

Nice wall decals. The color of the walls has a soothing, refreshing effect. I also like the different frames you hung by the daybed. So contemporary.
