Description
We had an outdoor fiesta first birthday party to celebrate our son turning "uno"! It was a fun celebration with many DIY touches that made the party feel extra special.
Design Inspiration
My inspiration for the party was this blog post I came across on Pinterest.
Decorating Style
My decorating style for the party was playful with cheerful colors.
Project Details
I bought most of the paper goods at Party City. I used Staples.com to have the Pin the Mustache poster made. The invitation and tissue paper UNO letters were a DIY project.
Favorite Items
My favorite item was the UNO tissue paper letters that I made.
Advice
My advice would be to establish a theme and go from there. Also, accept help from friends and family so that you don't feel stressed the day of the party and to also have fun with it! Birthday parties (especially 1st ones) are supposed to be fun!

where did you order your papel picado banner? I have been looking but want those colors specifically and that size. They come in so many variations. Thank you!

I was also wondering if it would be at all possible for you to share how you created the awesome invite for Charlie. Did you do it yourself or find it on a site like shutterfly? Thanks so much! Colleen

Where did you find the sombrero that fit? My trio was born on 5 de Mayo, so this will be our theme!
