Description
This is a project for our first baby, Emory Kathleen. We went for a vintage feel incorporating little birds throughout the room.
Design Inspiration
The vintage beadboard in the room and the bedding found on etsy.com were both inspirations for the project.
Decorating Style
I love all decorating styles! Vintage, modern, eclectic, traditional.. it just depends on the project!
Project Details
Bed- Venetian Iron Crib by Bratt Decor Curtains- JCPenney Rug- Shaggy Raggy White
Favorite Items
My favorite part of the room is the iron crib and bedding. The crib is new but has the vintage feel I wanted to match the older style of our home.

That mirror is amazing!!! Do you mind telling me where you found it or what brand it is? Thanks so much!
Love you sweet little room! I especially love the letters your husband made. Ingenious! I think I’m going to steal your idea for the floating shelves, if you don’t mind :) I have some and have been wanting to put some in my daughter’s room (21 months) So creative!
Gorgeous! So chic! Nice eye for details, especially for putting the shelves on the corners of the walls! Furnishings you chose all go so perfectly together! LOVE IT =)
Thank you all so much! The walls are old beadboard painted white. My husband cut the letters out of plywood and we painted them. He also cut the tree out of plywood and painted it. We used a projector to trace it onto the wood. We bought floating shelves from Lowe’s and attached them to the tree.
I couldn’t agree more! I love everything about your nursery. Fantastic job! Can you please tell me where you found the tree shelf as well as the letters? thanks!!
I too would like to know where you got the letters. I’ve seen many nurseries with the child’s name but never in this way. I love it! I love the whole room!
Hello,
Where did you buy your letters? They are awesome!
What a gorgeous room!
hi, where did you find the letters to spell out Emory on the wall?
This room is the perfect. It’s so fresh and clean and welcoming. Can you tell me what is on the walls? Is it a white striped wallpaper?
Thanks!
Where did you find the tree shelf?
I love the room is just perfect!!! it’s my favorite from this month. Congrats great job!!!
Such a lovely girly room! I love the feminine and delicate colors, the white furniture pieces, and that tree design shelf.
The bird lamp came from a little boutique where I live. I don’t see a brand name on it. The chandelier was given to us by someone who wasn’t using it anymore. It’s from Home Depot and was originally silver. We spray painted it white to match the room!
Kara,
Love the chandelier! Where is that from?
Thank you for the sweet comments! We love the crib. I would love to see it in your son’s room once it’s complete!
Bonbon919,
Thank you! It was from Lottie Da Baby. It took a while to come in but were so pleased with how it turned out! They were very nice to work with.
Ashley,
I would love to know where you found the adorable bird lamp!
Absolutely beautiful! I have the same crib in my son’s room, but I haven’t quite finished everything yet :)
Your bedding is some of the most beautiful I’ve seen, and I love the different way you treated the wall letters. The tree bookcase is adorable too, and what little girl wouldn’t love a pink fireplace!
I would love to know what Etsy seller made the bedding. Adorable!
