Ellia’s Mod Nursery

Description

A cheerful, fun and modern baby girl's nursery, with touches of whimsy that don't necessarily scream BABY in coral, aqua, grey and white.

Design Inspiration

I saw a chevron wall on a design blog last year that I knew had to be part of the nursery.  Everything else was based around that focal wall.

Decorating Style

Fairly modern with touches of retro mod thrown in.

Don't be afraid to go bold!  And when you choose an "out of the box" color combo, Etsy is a lifesaver!

  1. […] We’ve talked for a long time about adding a storage bench under the window and white floating shelves on either side. Today I was inspired to add some color to this wall before we start building and installing things. I love the herringbone accent wall in this adorable room featured on Project Nursery: […]

I as well am into chevron patterns and would like to incorporate patterns into our nursery.  I was wondering where I can find that wall paper or is that painted on the wall?

Great job on the room!! I LOVE this crib, but can’t find it anywhere. I realize it’s by Nurseryworks, but do you happen to know the name of the model?

  8. the turquoise accents are just perfect against the gray background. Lovely!

first of all, love love the room, everything in it! :)
    2 questions for you..
–how many inches up did you paint the bottom color?
I am having a hard time deciding how many inches up i need to stop the bottom color once it hits the trim..
    — what did you use to seperate the two colors? (is it a white wood trim?)
    thx!

    Natalie,

They are by Cloud 9, they are from the My Happy Nursery collection. It’s a bit more peach than coral, but it worked in the room.

    Ysczabel,

It’s paint….my husband took on the project. He couldn’t say no to a crazy pregnant lady :)

You’ve done an amazing job on this room!

  14. avatar Natalie says:

Beautiful room! These are the colors I’m using in our nursery. Would you mind sharing the name of the fabrics for the crib bedding?

  15. avatar Ysczabel says:

You really got a show-stopping wall there. Is it a wallpaper or did you paint it? It really is the focal point of your room and sets the room’s modern mood.

  16. I am loving this color scheme! I recently saw another nursery with the same colors…it is amazing and still girly. Great job!
