Ella’s Nursery

Description

I wanted to create a simple, elegant, and romantic nursery for our sweet baby girl.  I chose soft pinks and layered them throughout the room.

Design Inspiration

I full garden in the spring with flowers like roses, peonies, and hydrangea.

Decorating Style

Classic.

Project Details

I used Bella Notte linens for the quilt and blanket as well as the bedskirt.  The bumpers are from Restoration Hardware and the crib sheet is custom made with the changing pad with fabric from Carousel Designs.  The rocker and chaise lounge are made by Four Seasons and the crib, bookcase, and dresser are from Art for Kids.  I found a stencil that I loved to create the wall behind the bed and I traced old photos of my husband and I to create the silhouettes for the wall.

Favorite Items

My favorite item is the bookcase.  I worked with the artists at Art for Kids to create a custom finish to tie the nursery together with pink and cream.

Advice

Pinks are tricky.  I went through several fabric, paint, and finish options to be sure all the variations of pink would work well together.  I didn't want to bring any any other colors other than cream so I chose three variations of pink and layered them.

Awwww.... Such a lovely and delicate nursery. I love the effect of very soft pink and white together.
