Description
While expecting our first child this coming October we wanted something colorful, girly but not too baby and something that she could grow into. Our nursery was designed on a budget with the majority of the furniture being hand-me-downs and free finds we were able to pull together to create a functional and fun room!
Design Inspiration
We love pink, especially since we are expecting our first baby girl, but wanted something a little different. So we decided that coral would be a great alternative and something that she could really grow into. In general we wanted a neutral room that would work for baby #2 down the road, so we picked pieces that could easily be changed and used the coral as the accent color. The aqua bedding, the two-toned walls and all the furniture can be reused or repainted if our second is a boy. While all the coral can be transferred to Elena's big girl room (really thinking ahead).
Decorating Style
Our house is very eclectic and we wanted that to flow into the nursery. So we started with the big furniture items and painted them white, added the bedding and then slowly found pieces or made them to pull the room all together with a coral, aqua, white and tan color scheme.
