Easton’s Nautical Nursery

Description

This nautical nursery is for our son due in early July. Our house is coastal inspired and I wanted to keep the trend with his nursery.

Design Inspiration

I love coastal design so I wanted to create a fun, nautical nursery with a somewhat unique color scheme. I knew I wanted to create an anchor piece for the main art so I started with that and built the other elements from it.

Decorating Style

Coastal and classic. And of course stripes!

Project Details

This nursery is a mix of items from retail stores and Etsy. I got the bedding from Pottery Barn Kids (sale) as well as the mobile. The panels are from Pottery Barn. The wooden whale was a HomeGoods find which I painted to match the rest of wall art. I am an artist and painted the main anchor piece, which is available as a print from my Etsy store in custom colors and sizes at Jaime McCarrier Art. I also purchased a few more things on Etsy: the changing pad cover is from KidsSheets. The Sail print is from PtOfDeparture, and the anchor pillow is from aquiltingmrs.

Favorite Items

I love the striped panels which was a splurge from Pottery Barn.

Advice

I splurged on a few items, but a lot of my accessories are from Target and Homegoods which made getting everything much more affordable. Etsy is such a great resource and people are usually really nice about making custom orders to fit your needs.
