Dolls & Owls Girls Room

Description

I wanted a nursery that was original, peaceful and of course a little girly.  I started to research for ideas and inspiration the minute i found out i was pregnant. The furniture is pretty simple. It's the little pieces and accessories that  my husband and i loved finding and incorporating in the room.

Design Inspiration

I started with the color palette of grey, white and pink. From there on, we added items that we truly fell in love with.  After a few purchases we realized we were attracted to Owls and which little girl doesn't like dolls...

Decorating Style

I would describe my style as Modern with a touch of shabby chic... i like to mix the old with the new.

Project Details

The dresser, chair and Shelf are from IKEA

The carpet is from Homesense

The bedding is from Skip + Hop

The mobile is from Babies R'Us

The decal is from Modern Wall  (etsy)

The artwork ( four glitter animals) is a DIY which i had a blast doing when i was 7 months pregnant. It's a glitter by numbers project from DJECO

Favorite Items

My favorite items are by far the mobile, the owl nightlight and the garland over the window.

The garland is origami balls made by my sister-in-law. At night it becomes this beautiful nightlight that my daughter just loves to look at.

Advice

Have Fun decorating the nursery or your kids room. Also Project Nursery really help me with great ideas. I'm sure it can help you too :)

Totally think your bedding is adorable! I think that painting of a house is a scene stealer! (That's a painting right?) Your four glitter animals artworks are charming, too.
