Cowboy Party!

Description

An at-home cowboy themed birthday party for my son, Henry.

Design Inspiration

I was originally inspired by a swatch of vintage cowboy fabric. I could picture it as a tablecloth on kids tables. It started there and all the details came together after that.

Project Details

I purchased most of the paper goods through Etsy and hunted down everything else myself. I rented children's tables and chairs through a rental facility; purchased cowboy-themed fabric at a local fabric store and trimmed it to fit the tables. I purchased cowboy hats and bandanas for the kids and made cowboy boots for them to decorate myself. I found the mason jars for the kids lemonade at the grocery store as well as the cupcakes. I saved money by purchasing the cupcakes through the grocery store bakery, instead of investing in "fancy" cupcakes - 3 year olds don't know the difference! And of course, the ponies. They really brought the theme full circle and provided a ton of entertainment.

Favorite Items

My favorite detail of the party is the ponies! They were a hit with kids and adults and well worth the investment.

Advice

Plan, plan, plan! I started planning the event in my mind and working with my Etsy contact several months in advance. Every week, I tackled one project associated with the party. I wanted to enjoy the party and make sure my son had fun!

I love how you made use of those cans and bottles here, they look lovely and must have saved you.  Are those ponies just decorative?  They look too real in the pictures!!!
