Turquoise, Yellow, Green and Orange create a fun and comfy gender neutral space.
Design Inspiration
I really wanted a space that was warm and comfortable for the baby, but also be able to grow into it through the years. I wanted to avoid using the themed bedding found in chain stores, and create a unique room just for Baby Fountain. I found a lot on inspiration on Pinterest!
Project Details
The walls are Honey Beige from Lowe's which really helps with the light in the room.
Orange Lamps - IKEA
Green and shear curtains- Target.
Glider cushions- Taterbabies on Etsy.com
Turquoise crib skirt- Nepeto on Etsy.com (they have great solid color crib bedding options!)
Changing pad cover- LittleOwlsNest on Etsy.com
Boppy Pillow cover- LuLuBeesMarket on Etsy.com
Yellow Rug- Amazon.com
The ribbon mirror, paper lantern mobile, and bow/picture holder were DIY projects.

Favorite Items
The glider and the mirror are my favorites! They were both big projects for us, and they turned out just how I wanted them to.
Advice
If you're on a budget, be flexible about the look of your furniture. Between the crib, glider, dresser we only spent $10! The crib was given to us used from a friend of a friend, the glider was purchased at a garage sale, and the dresser was another item that a friend was purging. We could have painted all three, but decided to just redo the glider (it REALLY needed some love) and leave the rest.
I used Etsy.com to find items really captured what I wanted. You don't have to settle for the same old things found at big chain stores! Pinterest is a great place to find inspiration too!
This is still a work in progress, so feel free to leave suggestions, tips and hints in the comments below. Thanks for looking!
Dandelion,
Thanks!
Love how you used colors in this, without going overboard and without making it overly colorful. And even if it is indeed colorful, it still has that simplicity and modesty. Great job mommy! And thanks for being in the Army!
Just added some natural light pictures! It’s hard to get it right with it being so gloomy in WA for the winter. Enjoy!
hawahawa,
I’ll try to take some better ones and post them soon! Thanks for checking it out. :)
Nice colors. But I think it’s a lot easier to appreciate if the photos were taken in natural light.
