Classic & Preppy Girl

Description

My goal for the design of this room was to create a preppy yet classic design for a young toddler girl. The only requests were to incorporate pink and green with flowers and monograms. I think we successfully created a classical little girl's room.

Design Inspiration

The inspiration for the colors came from the fabric that we chose for the window treatments. The floral pattern has a sophisticated flair because it has a taupe background and brings in beautiful colors of green , pink and turquoise.

Decorating Style

The style of this room was intended to be "sweet". The four poster bed and whimsical window details help give the design a childish feeling .

Project Details

Bed - Art for Kids

Bedding - Custom

Rug - The Rug Market

Dresser & Bookcase - Celine Collection by Newport Cottages

Mirror - Oversized Venetian by Horchow

Favorite Items

My favorite item in the room is the custom painted four poster bed. What child doesn't want a statement bed?  The hand painted green floral detail on the posts gives it a sweet and juvenile feeling.

Advice

Have fun with your window treatments and try to throw in at least one monogram into your design for a preppy look.

Gorge, such fun! What is the name of the sheet set or is it made from the fabric, if so, whose fabric is it?

Absolutely adore this room! Every detail is perfect! Could you share the source for the relaxed roman shade? And/or possibly the name of the fabric? Thank you so much!!
