Description
My sister wanted a fresh, gender neutral nursery that wouldn't break the bank. I came up with a scheme using the Little Prince, one of my sister's favorite stories and some cheery colors to make a calming yet playful nursery.
Design Inspiration
The Little Prince by Antoine St. Exupery. We wanted a gender neutral palette, and I won the changing table so we developed a room around those factors.
Decorating Style
Modern and fresh

Favorite Items
I am partial to the mobile, something I made specifically for Claire. I used sticks from our family cabin in Tahoe, and felted the birds.
Advice
Keep in mind the nursery is just as much for the parents as it is for the nursery--if not moreso. Go with something that feels calming to you, and don't be afraid of a little color! You can still achieve a serene look using bold colors.
