A bohemian garden themed nursery for our soon-to-arrive little girl.

Design Inspiration

A bohemian garden themed nursery for our little girl.  The striped walls are and inspiration from the colorful umbrellas that line the french riviera.

Decorating Style

A mixture of clean lines, bright colors and well-travelled or vintage accents and textures.

Project Details

Paint color is Bicycle Yellow low VOC from Behr.  Bedding is the Sweet Stitches collection from Kenneth Brown.  And other accessories are from etsy, Land of Nod, Home Goods and vintage shops around southern California.

Favorite Items

Favorite items are our brightly colored smocked bedding,  green elephant doorstop, brightly colored shoes from my sister's trip to thailand and a embroidered turquoise pouf-ottoman to sit on.

Decorate with what you love, even if it feels a little'll all come together and look bright, happy and eclectic.

One picture from this room really made me smile: the green elephant and the shoes.  These are really lovely and if I were to guess, these were the starting point of your design right?  In any case I love the colors and the patterns.  Nothing to babyish here but really looks good together!

Hello!  Thank you for all your lovely comments.  I’m sorry fr not replying sooner.  With a newborn at home, I haven’t been back to this site in a while.  The nursery has come together well and our daughter loves being in it!

The elephant and the shoes were the room inspiration…good guess.  The wall decals and bedding came from the collection is called “Sweet Stitches”.  We loved the birds and flowers.
