Chic Nursery for Two

Description

The client desired a room that the girls could share and grow into.

Design Inspiration

The style was driven by the bold harlequin drapery fabric. The concept was further explored by using the girls' middle names - Wren & Jewels. So, throughout the room, we used "Birds & Bling" to honor each girl.

Decorating Style

Frend-Mod

Project Details

Fabric for the drapes was found discontinued at a fabric outlet. The table was a find from a local vintage shop. Accessories and frames were found at Target, Stein-mart and Michaels. The handheld mirrors were an auction win off ebay - they were plastic, but painted to look like metal. We added crystal knobs to the changing table and jewels to the vinyl monograms. Each belly-cast was given a personal touch (feathers for Wren, Glass beads for Jewels). The bookcase was the client's from a previous home.

Favorite Items

The vintage table top can be removed so that personal items can be changed out for display.

I love how you used the color black in this baby room. I hope you don't mind but I am sharing this on my blog. My daughter is having a baby girl and I have been looking for some inspiration. I am loving the black and pink together. And those curtains are to die for. You did a great job.
