Chevron Candyland Inspired Birthday Party

As a mother to three sons, I was ecstatic when my sister-in-law asked me to help with my niece's Candyland inspired birthday party. As the owner of a little invitation and announcement card shop on Etsy, Tints and Prints by Tierney, I am honored when family and friends ask for my help. I created an entire DIY Party Package of printables for this adorable Candyland theme party. And pairing Candyland with bright chevrons updated the classic childhood game with a modern design obsession of mine...chevrons! And if you know me well, I can't get enough of chevrons, whether in my own home or in my card designs.

Project Details

The Candyland Party was a success. The kids loved the candy station we had set up with make-your-own fruit loop necklaces, ice cream cone blowing bubbles, and a Guess How Many candy jar. The goodie bag favors were a hit as well, allowing the kids to not only take some classic candy home...but they received their own pocket size miniature Candyland travel board game, complete with cards and gingerbread men. And the birthday girl was all show when she came to the door dressed to greet her a custom made Candyland outfit, made by her Nana, with love. The fabric was purchased at a local craft store and looked perfect with the birthday girl's fruit loop necklace. I enjoyed every detail of helping with this party, from designing the photo invitation to receiving my coordinating Thank You card in the mail, signed by my very own little sweet niece, Cora.

All these colors and sugary sweetness is something kids really couldn't resist! I'd love to throw a party like this, and give them toothbrushes as party favors :)

Looks really fun, colorful and yum! I had a candy-themed party for my daughter last year and guess what I gave as favor: kiddie toothbrush, toothpaste and floss!
