We set up our nursery not knowing if we were having a boy or a girl. I wanted a space that was bright, colorful and fun. After months of researching online, I settled on a color scheme and began incorporating many diy projects into the room.
I finally got around to photographing the nursery when Charlie was about 16 months old. He is now 27 months and moving into his first big boy room.
Primary colors with a twist (aqua instead of blue).
Yard sale finds mixed with diy pieces and a few splurges.
Rug: IKEA, painted red by me
Curtains: West Elm shower curtains
Bedding: Land of Nod
Quilt and Flag Bunting: Sewn by me
Chair: Story time series
Bookshelf Under Window: IKEA expedit with feet by my husband
Dresser/Changing Table: Yard sale dresser painted by my husband
A 3 way tie between the chair, the quilt and the dresser. They make the room!
Incorporate items that aren't too "baby" so you can reuse them as your child grows or in other rooms in your house.
