Charlestyn’s Crib!

Description

Gender Neutral Nursery

Design Inspiration

Gender neutral nursery's are difficult on a moderate budget. I love the neutral color's of the grey, brown and white, although I needed a accent color that was gender neutral. I went with orange, which is fun for both gender's. I chose the bird theme as a warm, nature feel and the polka dots for a modern touch. The room fits nicely with the color scheme of my house and has a tranquil feeling. Our new favorite room in the house!

Decorating Style

I like to call it "warm modern." Not too modern, not too traditional. . .

Project Details

I went with a lovely wall color: B. Moore, Grey Cashmere. The crib is Pottery Barn. The cribskirt and sheet is from Restoration Hardware. The bumper is from Target. The rug is Restoration Hardware. The changing table is Target and the glider is Babies R Us (on line). The wall decal, bird mobile, quit and pillow were made on etsy.com. The letter mirror and the roman shade is from Pottery Barn Teen. The floor lamp is Pier 1 Imports, and the ceiling light is from Lowes Hardware.

Favorite Items

My favorite item in the room is the mirror. It add's a lovely warm, yet modern touch.

Advice

I love the wall color, although it is a difficult color to match with other items. Match other items with your accent color.

Hi there. I noticed that your bumper has light blue ties. I bought the same one from Target and it has brown. Did you change them?

Thanks

A tree mural or painting on the wall seems to be too much of a cliche when it comes to nurseries and kids' rooms. I do like everything, though. Especially the C-shaped mirror.

Never knew brown, orange, grey and white would all go well together. But you've definitely worked it!
