Carter's room is a blend of cottage style, modern elements, and custom collage artwork.
Inspiration for this gender-neutral room came from the grasshopper bedding. Once the green, pale yellow, and blue color scheme was chosen, custom artwork completed the space. Carter's mom created all of the artwork, alphabet stenciling, as well as curtains and pennant banners.
I prefer a cottage/farmhouse style with modern details.
The bedding is a discontinued item once sold at Baby's R Us. I believe it was called, "Jumping for Joy".
I think my favorite parts of the room are the pennant banners and comfy white IKEA chair. It served us well for late night feedings, story time, and now Carter is even able to use the chair independantly.
