Carmen’s nursery

Description

A peaceful nursery that is calming and serene, yet feminine and sophisticated.

Design Inspiration

The white bedding from Bella Notte.

Decorating Style

Eclectic, vintage, sophisticated

Project Details

All of the furniture is either hand-me-down from when I was a baby or from her cousins.  Because there is so much white in the furniture and bedding, I chose to make the walls dark for contrast.

Favorite Items

The bedding.  It's so soft and serene.  I love it so much!  I also love the paintings.  I painted them myself, so they will be special to her for years to come.

Advice

Go with your initial design and sketch everything out on paper before.  It helps to visualize.

The wall color is Warm Stone by Sherwin Williams.

I love the whole design, especially the color scheme!  What color (brand & name) are the walls painted?

Yep, classy is the word for this nursery. I really like the dark-colored walls and the white furniture, and the cute pink accents. I like that it's simple, but very far from being plain.

Thank you!  I super glued the white letters to wooden plaques that I painted pink.  I then hung the plaques with regular picture hangers.  The ribbon is stapled on the back of the plaques and then hung on the wall with little thumb tacks.  Hope that helps!

I love this room! The letters you have are exactly what I have pictured in my head. (Just a different color) How did you attach them to the wall? We all new drywall and I wanted to do without nails if I could help it. Any suggestions? Thanks!
