Description
A camping and adventure themed nursery for our newest adventure! Our second son is due September 25 and we've have a lot of fun finding items for his nursery. It's full of hand me downs, DIY projects, and a lot of love.
Design Inspiration
Woodland creatures, hiking, and general camping activities were the inspiration for Roman's nursery. The color palette was pretty neutral, gray and white, with pops of navy, hunter, and mustard.
Decorating Style
I loved using vintage/rustic pieces for this nursery. I felt like modern items, except for the clean lines of the vinyls, would have thrown of the outdoorsy vibe I wanted. Some of the details, like the bait buckets and fishing baskets, were given to us by a family friend who's husband was an avid fisherman.

Favorite Items
One of my favorite items has to be the changing table since it was made by my husband. He loves to create and build in our garage and as soon as e found out we were pregnant this time, he knew that as something he wanted to do himself.
Other favorites are the items from a family friend who's husband passed away unexpectedly two years ago. He was an avid fisherman and his gear fit perfectly into the theme for the nursery.
Advice
For this nursery, not everything has to be new. Or at least it doesn't have to look new. Ask around to see if anyone you know has random items lying around in attics or garages, you'd be surprised how many do! Also, when in doubt, DIY!
