Camp Nash – A Camping Themed 1st Birthday

Description

Nash's camping themed 1st birthday party was such a treat to plan! The theme was easy to stick with, and I was able to piece most of it together with things I already had. We also lucked out with a beautiful fall day in Kansas!

Design Inspiration

I got a LOT of inspiration from the Camp Wandawega for Nod line. It's so perfectly vintage and boyish...I love everything about it!

Decorating Style

Farmhouse, cozy, and antique...with a touch of modern.

Project Details

You can find a full post with all the details on my blog.

Invitations - Hank & Petunia

Paper Banners - Pink Antlers Studio

Plaid Tablecloth - Fabric from Joann's

Letter "N" - Hobby Lobby

Favorite Items

Nash's high chair will always be super special...it was mine and my siblings' growing up, and we also used it for my daughter's first birthday--only then it was a pretty mint!

My other favorite piece is the old shutter used to display Nash's monthly pictures. I bought it at an estate sale and we used it to hold guests' place cards at our wedding. It was really neat to reuse it for such a special occasion!

Advice

It doesn't have to be a lot of work to be wonderful! I kept the food easy (hotdogs and s'mores!) and focused my efforts on the cake table. And like I said, we already owned most of what we used...it was just a matter of piecing it all together to achieve the right look. That's where Project Nursery and Pinterest came in handy ;)
