Bright & Cheery Baby Girl Nursery

Description

I wanted something bright, cheery, and non-traditional (aka "pink") for my daughter's nursery.

Design Inspiration

Heather Bailey's Nicey Jane fabrics were just what I was looking for!  My sister lovingly created the crib bumpers, bed skirt, curtains, and valance.

Decorating Style

Traditional with a hint of retro flair.

Favorite Items

I love, love, love the textiles.  They're like bright, cheery retro aprons from the 50's!

Advice

The key to achieving PERFECT stripes is the right tape.  Blue painter's tape does NOT cut it.  It is worth the extra bucks to use Frog Tape: http://www.lowes.com/SearchCatalogDisplay?storeId=10151&langId=-1&catalogId=10051&N=0&newSearch=true&Ntt=frog+tape

We also used a laser level to get straight lines.

Love it! I am probably going to go with this color scheme for a gender-neutral nursery. :)

Bright, cheery and breezy indeed! I really like the colors and the striped walls.
