Baby Ryan’s Monkey Nursery

Description

I am so proud of this monkey themed nursery.  I painted the nursery yellow and then took inspiration from a monkey wall decal I found on Etsy, changed it to fit my room and then hand painted it on the wall.  It, of course, would not be complete with out Mom, Dad, and Baby Ryan's initials on the tree (the initials on the tree stem all the way back to our wedding when Mom and Dad's initials were carved in a tree during our engagement hike and then used on programs, etc).

Design Inspiration

Monkeys!  Isn't it obvious?

Decorating Style

I like for things to be light, bright, and airy.  Our whole house is hard wood but for the nursery I wanted it to be super bright so we went with the bright yellow walls, white wainscot, and light fluffy carpet.

Favorite Items

My favorite item is the mural since I did it myself and can remember how excited I was to start working on the nursery.  I found out we were having a little boy and went straight to home depot after the appt to get the paint!

Advice

Start early!  I started this in March when I was only about 20 weeks pregnant.  It's such a relief at 33 weeks to not have to worry about anything but relaxing over the remaining 7 weeks.
