Our gender neutral nursery is inspired by the vintage vibes of the seventies. I’d been watching Mad Men and was suddenly inspired to add a dash of floral to the bedding range I’d been creating.  It reflected the LA desert hills and the whole hippy lifestyle of Megan Draper.  However I didn’t want it to be overwhelmed with too much pattern and colour..so I guess its a minimalist styling inspired by the colours and patterns.

I felt the floral was quite unisex and fitting in with the casual style and solid colours used everywhere else.

It’s all very simple with cot and bassinet being vintage finds by Nicola of Concrete and Honey Styling who photographed and style it . I think simplicity is often underrated.

I think it reflects the style of simple bohemian nurseries that are becoming so popular and fit in easily with the rest of the home. It’s so versatile.  Most items are vintage or items we already had in our home but I think you could recreate the look quite easily from items on Etsy, to maintain the handmade feel, or from your local homewares store.
