Project Details
This was the first nursery I put together for our baby boy. We had limited space in our 2 bedroom condo since my husband would be working form home a lot after the baby arrived and it was currently the office/Game room. We had been looking for a new home since before getting pregnant, but just had not found the right house yet, but the baby was coming soon! The room was already blue, which is not part of the plans I had for a baby nursery, but I was in no shape to be repainting an entire room with vaulted ceilings while working a full time job( since I was preggo and all). I spent a lot of time shopping around in Old town Orange, Vintage shops and Long Beach. Many of the stuffies, blankets and Owls were handmade by friends and family members which makes them that more special to me.
Favorite Items
I love every single piece, but I was so excited about the crib. It has a plexi glass front!
Advice
Shop around until you find what you want. I spent about a year planning the whole nbursery and continue to this day!
Woh, thanks so much for the crib info.
Also, I am so sorry to read that you had to leave that awesome room behind. Hopefully you are in your perfect home now =). I am definitely looking forward to seeing pictures of the new room.
Wenbow, thanks so much! It took a bit to get it done but I was really happy with the finished product. We’ve since moved and had to leave the murals behind and it absolutely broke my heart! But I’ve been working on a new tree in the new house and I can’t wait to post the new room once it’s finished!
The crib is made by Spot on Square http://www.spotonsquare.com
I’ve met the couple who design the stuff after I bought it and own this business and they are so sweet! It made me even happier that i picked the AWESOME plexiglass crib!
Great Room =). Where did you get your crib? LOVE the crib!!
You and your mom did a great job on those murals! I am a muralist and I’m also planning my own nursery: http://www.nurserydesigns.blogspot.com

I was hoping you posted more photos of the nursery, as I would have loved to see more of the room. But then I read what you wrote about it being such a small, multi-purpose room and I understood. You did really great, though. It’s simple and cute. And it’s nice that you have that big mirror to give the illusion of a bigger space.
A great shade of blue on the walls. Where did you find your crib?
lucky baby to have an eames lounge!!! very cute nursery!

So clean, so cool, so hip – i love it!
Thanks! In the past i always had the habit of over acessorizing, and the room was already so full of stuff that I wanted to make it a simple statement so the details would stand out.
I like how clean it looks, no over-the-top details. And the simplicity will make the space look bigger than it really is.
