I wanted to create a cute little boy space without a “theme” that would grow from a nursery to a little boys room. The room was inspired by the blue and grey rug and then we added some nautical items to give it a little character. The light grey walls are very calming one of my favorite parts besides the dimmable pendant lamp and the custom sign my husband made. I am so excited to share my design!

Where did you find the bookcase??? I have been looking for one just like it!

I found the bookcase at Home Goods. Which there selection is always changing, you check online. We had to paint the navy blue stripe it was originally orange. Here is another option that we looked at http://www.wayfair.com/Creative-Co-Op-Lake-Living-Wood-Boat-with-Tin-Insert-DE6127-XRL1496.htm. There is also a few people on Etsy who will make custom boat bookcases. Good luck on your search.
