Blake Aubrey’s Purple, Grey and Yellow Nursery

Description

Purple, Grey and Yellow nursery with some modern and traditional touches.

Design Inspiration

I knew I wanted to use the grey and yellow color scheme but added purple to make it a little more girly.

Project Details

I was going to buy a tree decal, but couldn't get myself to spend the money on a quality one. I mentioned the idea of hand painting a tree on the wall and my husband was all for it. The worst that could happen is we end up painting the wall over. I looked at a picture of a tree on Pinterest and started painting. It took about a day and a half to get it perfect and it looks fantastic. When I'm doubt try it and it may turn out perfect!

Favorite Items

My favorite item is the wooden sign above the dresser/changing table that I bought off a local buy, sell trade forum for $20!

Advice

When painting stripes make sure you take the tape off right away to prevent taking the paint off with it.

I love the dresser/changing table. I have my parents’ dresser when they were married in 1949. Never have seen one similar. Love this. Where did you find yours and how old is it?

Absolutely love this nursery. I was just wondering if you painted the chest of drawers?
