Description
A modern nursery with fabrics and colors that will easily transition into a toddler room. Many personal touches add that extra pop to make the room special and unique.
Design Inspiration
The jumping off point was the fabric. All the colors, artwork, coordinating fabrics, and crib bedding worked off of the "critters" in the fabric.
Decorating Style
Modern Classic with a touch of whimsy.
Project Details
The fabrics used for the drapery, pillows, and bedding are all from Fabricut. The crib is from AP Industries and the swivel/rocker is from Lee Industries. The drapery, pillows, bedding, artwork, and bookcase are all custom made.
Favorite Items
It is hard to decide which is my favorite, it all turned out just they way that I imagined. But if I had to choose, it would be the "critter" art above the crib. I made these to look like the animals in the fabric. I also love the bedding. It has all of the rooms' colors in it which ties the room together. I also love the art above the changing table--it has my husbands, mine, and my son's handprints. Something that I will treasure forever!
Advice
Don't be afraid to trust your instincts! I was nervous about the bedding fabric at first, but it ended up being the perfect touch to the room. Make something for the room. Not only does it add something special and unique to the room, but it is something for you to be proud of and have a story to tell you child about!

I absolutely LOVE your style! great job with bringing everything together. So crisp and clean but still very playful :) Where did you get the cute fabric chair from? (yellow, blue and red one)

Christina,
I have spot cleaned my bumper pads and have not noticed any discoloration. I however have washed my big pillows. I turned them inside out and washed in cold on the handwash cycle. I also let air dry and no problem! I did have to iron them on low to get the wrinkles out, but no biggie! Hope that helps!

I used acrylic- the color was Benjamin Moore Morning Dew. I then used that color to match the matting to the paint. I also used this same color on the bookcase to give the room unity! Hope that helps!
Getting little man's handprint was a doosy- email me if you want to learn how I did it!
Thanks!
