A blue and red room for a toddler boy that combines several themes - cars, airplanes, animals, and superheroes.
The inspiration for the room was my son's favorite things.
Bright, vintage, simple
Owen's room included:
Hello sign from Etsy
Frames from World Market
Wallpaper from Sherwin Williams
Rug from Ikea
Many of the accessories were from Home Goods: lamp, fuel station clock, vintage toy truck, storage baskets.
Bedding from Bed Bath and Beyond
Curtains from JC Penney
The artwork (Adventure is Out There on reclaimed barnwood and painting with boy and dog) was handmade by me.
You can see more details from the room here: http://icecreamoffpaperplates.com/2015/04/10/owens-big-boy-blue-and-red-bedroom/
My favorite item is the "Adventure is Out There" sign made from reclaimed barnwood. It really captures my son's spirit.
Don't be afraid to mix themes! You can put a little bit of everything in one room tied together with coordinating colors.
