Bailee’s Nursery

Description

This is my little girl's nursery that I couldnt wait to do! It came together even better than it did in my mind!

Design Inspiration

The arrival of my little girl! And the Raspberry Medallion crib set I found (on clearance, I might add ;)

Decorating Style

Traditional, I am a total girly girl, so it came quite easy for me to decorate this room with lots of "pretty" things.

Project Details

Our crib and dresser are from Munire furniture, it is their "Majestic" line and in a beautiful espresso color.I love that The crib is so luxurious and grand looking in person. The crib bedding is Wendy Bellissimo "Raspberry Medallion" and I added ribbon the the ties onced we tied the bumper to the crib, to make it even more girly. This bedding was my 1st purchase and was my inspiration for her nursery. We added a chair rail and painted stripes below and a solid color above. I used Ralph Lauren metallic paint named Cherry Birch for the (raspberry looking) color and Sherwin Willaims Kaffee for the chocolate brown. The top color is what else but "Princess Pink" by Behr. I made the letters that spell out Bailee by purchasing these raspberry sparkly letters(from Michaels) and hot gluing them to 8x10 canvas. I painted the canvas with the same chocolate brown paint I used on the walls and then found adorable matching scrapbook paper and flowers with rihnstones in the middle of them for some texture. I then just hung them in a design that encompassed the crib with matching satin ribbon. I found the most beautiful and perfect chandelier at the ever amazing Home Goods. It was the only one they had and it was hanging there waiting for me to buy it and put it in its rightful place Bailee's nursery :) It has light yellow, light green, and pink jewels hanging from it. I also bought "raspberry" Crystals from Michaels and added them to the chandelier myself. The tree, birds and owls I bought from Target and it is exactly what I needed to add more color and visible stimulation for my little girl. http://www.munirefurniture.com/majestic_04.htm). http://www.ralphlaurenhome.com http://www.homegoods.com

The Wendy Bellissimo bedding, the Crystal Chandelier and the tree with the birds, squirrel and owls.

Advice

When taping off to do strips...use clear glaze along the edges of your tape to prevent bleeding and to create a straight line. I always love finding something I absolutely LOVE and using it as my inspiration for a room, like I did when I found the Wendy Bellissimo bedding.
