Baby Zeke’s Nursery

Description

We wanted a nursery that was fun, bright and happy so we choose blue, yellow and orange.

Design Inspiration

I always wanted a Tigger themed nursery as I've been in love with Tigger since I was nearly 12, but I wasn't sure how I wanted to go about just using Tigger. So I decided since we were having a boy to do a mix of bright shapes/designs with Tigger as the accent. I'm really excited about how it turned out!

Decorating Style

I love DIY and anything bright!

Project Details

The crib bedding came from Target: http://www.target.com/p/sumersault-geo-brights-10-piece-crib-set-multicolor/-/A-11289495

I ordered the wood letters from Craft Cuts http://www.craftcuts.com then painted them myself!

I made the mobile hanging from the ceiling using tissue pom poms and oriental lamps (purchased from Party City).

I painted the canvas for his room and the Tigger frame art was painted by my cousin.

The floating shelves came from Home Depot and I painted them the blue from the wall.

I found a cheap/very used bookshelf on craigslist and re painted it the blues from the chevron wall as well.

Favorite Items

I don't know that I have one particular favorite item. I'm really happy with the entire nursery, but I do love that most of the blankets were made by family members and his piggy bank was painted by his nanna and great-grandma. There are lots of pieces that were made with love for his room!

Advice

Don't be afraid of mixing patterns/designs.
