Baby Sloan’s Floral and Gold Nursery

Description

I wanted a nursery that our daughter could grow into. I didn't want a "theme" or "color" but I had a vision in my head of what I wanted it to look like. I began with the wallpaper accent wall and knew I wanted gold accents and then went from there. The overall look was exactly what I wanted to achieve, bright and airy with the right amount femininity.

Design Inspiration

Above all, our baby was the inspiration for the nursery. I knew I didn't want anything too girly, and I wanted something light and airy that she could grow into. I love combining different elements: rustic, vintage, glam to achieve the overall look.

Decorating Style

Our style is vintage meets modern whimsy.

Project Details

Crib: Baby Cache Montana in Driftwood from Babies R Us

Wallpaper: Brewster Kismet from Sherwin Williams

Toy Chest: This was made by my dad and my husband.

Tall Dresser: Baby Cache Montana from Babies R Us

Changing Table Dresser: We bought the dresser which came with a few different colors to switch into the top drawers. We decided none of them matched the right way, so we sprayed on of the colors gold, I love the way it came out!

Collage Wall: Most of the items are from Hobby Lobby. I used pieces from the accent wall in the white frames.

Glider: Amazon

Name Vinyl: A friend had her husband make this for my baby shower, I love the way it looks!

Chandelier: I searched forever for the right chandelier. I ended up finding a great deal on one at Home Depot online!

Favorite Items

My favorite item is the toy chest that my husband and dad built together. They used wood from a tree that was at my husband's childhood hood home and then stained and monogrammed it with her name. It is so beautiful and meaningful.
