Design Inspiration
Many of the designs on pinterest and project nursery inspired me. I knew I wanted a whimisical nursery that had a bit of a vintage feel.
Project Details
Here are most of the links to the pinterest projects I used for guidance. Follow this blog for instructions on diy poufs hanging in the corner, http://southernbellesoulmountainbrideheart.blogspot.com/2012/04/pink-and-grey-shabby-chic-mobile-diy.html#!/2012/04/pink-and-grey-shabby-chic-mobile-diy.html. The artwork was purchase at etsy at the "Weatfield" store http://www.etsy.com/shop/thewheatfield?ref=l2. The mobile was also from etsy as well as the wall decals. Although I searched on etsy to find the fabric I wanted for the bedding, curtains, and book slings; my talented sewing friend made all of it. I know, she's awesome. The quilt was also made by a close family friend.
Favorite Items
My favorite part of this room is the 3d bird cages hanging in the trees. They were $1 at Joann fabrics and then were mod podged with scrap book paper. I didn't like the colors of the birds that came with the tree decals, so those are made from scrap book paper as well.
Advice
Although at times I thought this project was over my head since I did so many diy projects (and I'm not the least bit crafty), it was so worth it when our little girl arrived. I can't wait to see her grow up in this room.
Love this room! What color paint did you use in the dresser?
Cute!!
Where did you get thy rug from ?
Where did you find the birdcage?
That’s a very unique paper bird mobile you have there. And I like the 3D birdhouses you added on your accent wall.
I need it all for our nursery
