Baby E’s Nursery

Description

Baby Elsberrys nursery, the sex was unknown.  So I used an alphabet theme in my favorite colors.

Design Inspiration

A piece of scrapbook paper I found several years ago.

Project Details

I used the scrapbook as inspiration when doing the feature wall and decided the other walls should be a light key limey green.  Stencils and stick ons were too expensive so I free handed the letters.  It took forever but so did cooking Baby E.  It was a true labor of love.  The changing table is an antique from my parents, the crib is a DaVinci, and the rocker a Lane.  The hardest thing to find was a rug.  After literally dozens of hours searching I ordered this one at Walmart.com and love it.  Curtains were also harder than I thought and I was looking for fabric! But found these at Lowes in the kids curtains. The book shelf was from Target.com and was no assembly so that was nice. We had to wait to add her name until we knew it was a her. So now her room is complete.

Favorite Items

I think the rug makes the room.

I did the letters free hand, just paint and a foam paint brush and a steady hand. :) Thanks! Dandelion,

I think the alphabet theme was a great idea. What did you use for the letters on the walls? They're really nice. And that clock is just adorable!
