Design Inspiration

Montreal can get really cold in the winter, and since we were having the shower in February, we decided a "Baby it's Cold Outside" theme would be perfect! We were inspired a lot by different ideas we saw on Pinterest, particularly for the hot cocoa bar. Once we decided to go with tones of pink, cream and gold for a baby girl, the rest came easy!

Decorating Style

We wanted the overall effect to be beautiful but it was also important that attention be paid to every last detail - from the pink safety pins on the "Yummy in my tummy" lunch boxes, to the stationary and flowers, to the place settings and snowflake cookie favours. We wanted to the overall look to be rich and soft, with a touch of glam.

Favorite Items

I was blown away by the cake! It was beautiful and matched the theme perfectly with the dusty rose, gold and snowflakes added on. Not only was it gorgeous, but it was delicious too - red velvet with cream cheese icing! I really just loved the whole sweet table. It had all the delicious treats but also served as a gorgeous backdrop for photos.

Advice

There are so many great ideas for Winter baby showers on the internet. Once you have your colour theme and type of decor in mind (modern, vintage, minimalistic) etc - try making a mood board to tie everything together. I think it's great to get different elements from different vendors/websites, but then have maybe one person doing all the stationary or decor so that you can tie it all together!
