I chose the travel/explore/world theme for my baby boy's nursery b/c I wanted something that he could still enjoy as a little boy for years to come. I love traveling with my husband and family, and can't wait until we are able to start traveling and going on some amazing trips with our baby Levi! I was also inspired by one of my favorite Bible verses, Joshua 1:9 that says "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." I thought this was the perfect verse to go along with this theme, and it's featured on a wall hanging in his nursery!
I wanted a nice neutral vibe but with lots of blue, my favorite color. If it wasn't blue, it was white or wood colors/neutral shades. My favorite item in the room is an awesome rug with lots of blue shades that I bought from Rug & Home in Gaffney, SC. I just knew it would be the perfect anchor piece to get started with the theme I had been envisioning for a while...it reminds me of the ocean...and is SO soft! I also really love the rattan shelf I purchased from someone on Instagram, and the perfect floor lamp from Walmart with the Rattan shade. And after searching and searching for the perfect map to go over the crib, I ended up choosing a neutral one from Hobby Lobby! I added a variety of globes, and a few cute animals in the room...which he can see when he travels the world one day! ;)
I love how it all came together and hope my sweet Levi will enjoy it for years to come!
