I wanted a nursery that my baby boy could grow into. I wanted it to have somewhat of a "theme" but did not want it to appear cheesy. I am so happy with the way this project came out and it seems that my little one is too! You can read more at liveprettyonapenny.blogspot.com
I wanted his nursery to be fun, colorful, child-like yet something could easily translate into him being a toddler.
My style is modern, yet traditional, colorful, and classic.
Wall Color- Mindful Gray color matched to Behr Paint
Dresser- Old dresser from hubby's old apartment stripped and painted Behr Dark Cobalt Blue (DIY)
White Frames above Dresser- IKEA
Large Red "J"- TJ Maxx
Stuffed Moose Head above Dresser- Ebay
Babyletto Madison 3 in One Crib- Target
Birch Wall Decals- Etsy
Babyletto Swivel Glider- Local Atlanta Warehouse found on Craigslist
Pillow on Glider- Marshall's
Picture Ledges with Books- IKEA
Books- Various Thrift Stores
Small Stuffed Animals- IKEA
Large Giraffe- Amazon
My favorite item in the room has to be the giraffe. Running a close second is my DIY painted blue dresser.
To achieve a similar look I would say have fun. I wanted to make sure the nursery was functional, yet would be a fun place for my baby to occupy.
