Avery’s Animal Colored Nursery

Description

A colorful animal themed nursery fit for a baby boy or girl!

Design Inspiration

Wanted an animal themed nursery that was different from the typical Noah's Ark.  At the same time, the colors needed to be gender neutral since we didn't know what we were having!  I got a lot of inspiration from sites like Etsy and other nurseries.

Decorating Style

I consider myself a functional diy decorator. If I can't find the look  I'm trying to get across...I make it!

Favorite Items

That would be the custom wood work and lighting.  My husband actually built the built-in shelves/window seat.  I love the extra storage underneath.  It allows Avery to grow with the room.   We also did the board and batten on the walls and lighting above the bookshelves.

Advice

Use you imagination and don't be afraid to custom make the look you want!

I absolutely love the white and teal combo. So refreshing, bright and soothing. And oh, the colorful dog tail hooks are so cute!

Rach, Thanks for the comment! The little rabbit is actually a comb and brush set. The base is a mirror. I got it from Target. http://www.target.com/p/skip-hop-hare-comb-brush-set/-/A-11406309

All of the woodwork on the walls and on the shelves/window seat is fantastic! Tell your husband great job! :) I am curious about the little rabbit item on the changing table, though- what is is, and where did you get it?
