Ava’s Pink & Gold 3rd Birthday Party

Description

For my daughter's 3rd birthday we decided to do a simple color combo of pink (her fave color) and gold.

Design Inspiration

Her fave color is pink, so we pretty much made everything PINK! I added the gold in for a more glammed look. We went really simple with the decor items some fresh flowers, tissue paper poms, and of coarse the main event the dessert table!

Decorating Style

I like simple decor with clean lines and things I can reuse again and again.

Project Details

A lot of the items I made myself the tissue paper tassels were so easy and fun to make and added a great detail to the dessert table. I also made the gold vases for the flowers, the cupcakes, and hired out the cookies and cake pops for the table. You can find full tutorials and more details on my blog page here: http://www.worleyhouseblog.com/2013/05/avas-pink-gold-3rd-birthday-party.html photography + styling: worley house ava's skirt: zulily ava's shirt: old navy baking cups + straws + balloon: The TomKat Studio cookies: The Baked Equation flags + gold dot napkins: Target pink paper plates + pink napkins: Dollar Tree

Favorite Items

My favorite item is the dessert table with the tissue paper tassel banner in the background that I made.

Advice

DIY! This is my best tip, decide early on what you can DIY & what you need to hire out for sake of time or money. For me I like to do a lot of the decor items myself and hire out the desserts. I have a great local baker that whips up the most amazing cake pops!

I love the color scheme. Pink, gold and silver look so elegant when combined, and undeniably feminine too.
