Bright Gender Neutral Nursery

Description

We really wanted a simple, bright and modern nursery that was gender neutral since we waited to find out what we were having.

Design Inspiration

We picked out the white and apple green bedding from Pottery Barn Kids first, and built the design around that. I spent hours looking at pictures on project nursery for inspiration! We decided on all white furniture with green, turquoise and orange pops of color.

Decorating Style

Simple, modern, traditional.

Project Details

Bedding, valance, lamp and diaper caddy – Pottery Barn Kids, Tree decal/monkey – Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/pinknbluebaby), ABC & 123 prints – Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/BellyBabies), Paper lanterns – Luna Bazaar, Turquoise side table – DIY (painted a black table from the Christmas Tree Shop), Rug – Two rugs from Target secured with carpet seam tape (much easier than I thought!), Circle mirrors/frames – Mirrors are from Target, and the frames are from TJ Maxx with pictures from when our siblings were little kids (the baby’s aunts/uncles), Crib & Dresser – Baby’s Dream, Glider & Ottoman – Best Chairs, Wall Color – Behr Sterling.

Favorite Items

The turquoise painted table and the wall decal. The table was a pretty simple project, but added a pop of color since I wanted to keep the rest of the furniture white. It took hours to put up the wall decal because it’s made up of all individual pieces (each leaf, bird, etc.), so it felt like a DIY project!

Advice

I became slightly obsessed with the nursery! I wanted everything just right. Give yourself plenty of time and keep things simple – it’ll all come together!

Could you tell me what chair this is from best chairs? I love it!

So clean and fresh and crisp. I particularly like the combination of white and sage and turquoise. I think the round mirrors and frames by the changing table added an interesting touch, too.
