Aqua & Pink Nursery

Description

I created this nursery to bring home our baby girl Blakely.  I knew I wanted something very girly but not too pink and frilly.  Pink is still my favorite color but I wanted it to pop so I chose a different wall color.  I really love how it all turned out.  This room is the most decorated room in our entire home!

Design Inspiration

I was inspired originally by the aqua and pink color scheme and each piece came together one by one.  I spent a lot of time on Pinterest searching for things that I loved and this room is a compilation of all the ideas I found.  I was dealing with a small space (the room is 10x10 I believe) so I didn't want to overcrowd the room or do anything to make it too busy.

Decorating Style

Fun!  I wanted something fun and cute but I knew I definitely did not want to do a character theme so choosing a set of colors was exactly what I was looking for.

Favorite Items

I love the chair the best.  It was one of the priciest things in the room but so comfortable and definitely worth it.

I also really love the bedding and the little bird art.  Who am I kidding, I love the whole room!

Advice

Don't expect it all to come together in a day.  I spent my whole pregnancy putting little bits of this room together.  I found a little something here and then another something there.  I expected the room to be finished rather quickly but it really took me the whole pregnancy to complete the whole look.

Looks great! I have 11 weeks left, and have no clue what I am doing! This is actually one of the fabric choices I have been considering though, so thanks for posting the paint color so I have an idea of what it would look like since I want an aqua theme with pink accents!
