Description
I designed my daughter Evy's room around the Braemore fabric "Angel Toile." I wanted a British/European/elegant feel.Design Inspiration
I found an inspiration image online that inspired this room. I tracked down the fabric and went from there!
Decorating Style
I LOVE neutral, soft colors. I decorate with those tones throughout my entire house, so this soft nursery came naturally. I lean toward a traditional, European style with a cottage/shabby influence.
Project Details
All of the furniture in Evy's room is second-hand (painted and refinished). None of her furniture was bought as a "set," which I love. I tell people all the time to just buy pieces where they love the SHAPE of the piece--you can always paint it to match your room!
Favorite Items
The letter that my dad wrote to my daughter when she was born. It's priceless!
Advice
I create a home binder where I keep inspiration images, swatches, etc. It's a great way to find out what your style is and plan projects. Start with an inspiration image, or a good piece of fabric, and slowly go from there. Don't buy just to buy. Be conscious of your choices and stay within your goals. Also, don't heavily "theme" a room if you like this look. I wanted Evy's room to be classic and timeless. I wanted the fabric and decor to be able to grow with her.

I would love to know where/how you did the monogram. Also, what the font is, and how big the lettering. Beautiful room!

Do you know the name of the company for your armoire? Does the door part have shelves or a clothes rod?
Also, where did you get the monogram?
ADORABLE nursery!

I just realized it didn't show in one of the pictures! It's framed on the white dresser. :)

Wow, this is a nursery fit for a princess, what with your daughter's initials in script, that crown pillow, the chandelier, and the crib skirt. Where's your dad's letter, by the way?
