Description

This colorful printable party collection cheers for celebration! Color Palette: pink, orange, tangerine and yellow Patterns: polka dots Theme: Aloha Summer

Design Inspiration

When I came across a picture of gorgeous hibiscus flowers created by Diane of DK Designs, I fell in LOVE.  It became the focal point when putting together ideas for their Aloha Summer themed birthday party.

Decorating Style

My goal was to create a look that could be recreated for children and adults and one that could be used for any occasion or event.

The layered cake topped with beautiful, cascading hibiscus flowers that make for such a simple, yet stunning presentation…which  would also make a lovely cake design idea for bridal showers and grown up parties too!

Advice

Once you pick a theme for your party and carry it throughout all of the details of the party.  My goal was to create a look that could be recreated for children and adults and one that could be used for any occasion or event.  Use pieces from your home and incorporate them for the party.  I love finding items at the dollar store.   I made a table skirt using raffia hula skirts and I added a garland in matching party colors using leis from Party City.

I adore the color palette of tangerine, pink and yellow! That wreath created with drink parisols is amazing. can you share how you did it?

  5. Thanks Lindsey,

The backdrop was a sheet that I used from PB Teen called Paisley Pop.

Comes in different colors as well.
