Description
This was a baby shower thrown in May for my baby, Sebastian! I was 30 weeks pregnant :) It was held at the Bali Hai Restaurant in San Diego, California on a beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon.
Design Inspiration
The inspiration was my husband & my love for Hawaii & the aloha spirit! We used touches of blue ombre & whales throughout the shower. We also had our baby bump photos taken on a babymoon in Hawaii two weeks before the shower & incorporated those into the shower too.
Decorating Style
Bringing the Hawaiian islands to the mainland for a day :)

Favorite Items
My favorite items were the wishing tree, dessert table & candy buffet. I spent a lot of time researching on Project Nursery & looking up candies online to make the perfect mix. My guests raved about the shower for days, even weeks & I still hear that it is the "best baby shower" they've ever been too!
Advice
My advice is to have fun & make sure to voice your opinion to people hosting the shower. If you don't like something your host is suggesting, don't be afraid to change it a bit to find a compromise! For example, I do not like baby shower games but compromised with my mom & Auntie to have a few of them that I selected. Find things that you can even incorporate into the nursery after the shower is over (we have elements in Sebastian's room now). Soon you will be holding a sweet baby or babies in your arms!!!
You must have really beautiful baby bump photos, considering you have the beautiful sea, sand and sky as your background! Wish you shared close-up photos of these shots.
I posted a photo of one that’s a bit angled in this project but there’s a forward facing one in the nursery project :) I’ll add another here soon! Thank you for your interest :)
