Description
Modern, clean, unique, and whimsical. I wanted a space that is very inviting since I knew I'd be spending a lot of time in it. Also, I was going for a completely different feel than my older daughter's room which has a shabby-chic vibe, and cool colors.
Design Inspiration
Stars!! I've been attracted to all things celestial for as long as I can remember, so this was the perfect opportunity to allow my imagination to run wild. The first great find was the rug, and away it went. From there, the rug led me to the color palette, which is kinda unexpected for a star-theme. It all came together perfectly.
Decorating Style
Modern & contemporary with a soft touch which sometimes I find modern style lacks. The space needs to feel livable or what's the point? I love using color, but always find that it's good to balance that with neutrals- more or less depending on the room.

I spent a lot of time on Etsy finding the right art for the gallery, and luckily I had some good friends contribute to it as well.
Favorite Items
The rug. Once I found the rug, I had lots of good ideas come to mind, and went from there. I also love the picture next to the window because a talented friend custom made it for the room, which makes it so special.
Advice
Stick with a good idea and color scheme! It's so easy to get carried away because there are so many amazing finds out there. Keep it simple and functional, yet make it personal and unique.
